Externship Scholarships!

All veterinary students entering their clinical year who intend to complete an externship at a veterinary facility that evaluates at least 10 avian cases per week are eligible to apply for the student externship scholarship


Present your Findings!

AAV holds an annual student manuscript competition. The winner presents the findings of their case report or research paper at the annual AAV conference and a summary of the manuscript is published in the conference proceedings.

AAV’s annual conference is recognized as one of the leading sources of avian education in the world. Veterinary students may attend at minimal cost and even earn cash while learning if you participate as a paid lab assistant.

 AAV Student Chapter Membership

 

Does your vet school have 5 or more students in an avian club? Faculty Advisors may form an AAV Student Chapter and affiliate your chapter with AAV to be eligible to apply for AAV-sponsored Chapter Activities. Note: Faculty Advisor is required to hold the Chapter Membership. Students must register as individual student members to obtain full access to the AAV.org website.

 

AAV-sponsored Chapter Activities

Chapters can apply for funding for avian educational activities through this program. This means more hands-on avian education at your chapter meetings on your campus.
